I’m Gavin, an independent driving instructor offering driving lessons to the fine people of Aldershot. I have many years of experience in turning learner drivers into expert drivers and I look forward to doing the same for you. I firmly believe that it is my responsibility not just to teach my students how to drive but also to help them develop the correct attitude towards driving.
I’m passionate about producing safe, competent and confident drivers which is achieved by providing a full driving education rather than just teaching enough to get you through your test. The pass rate of my students is consistently above the national average as is the rate of first time passes and zero fault passes, statistics which speak for themselves!

By tailoring my teaching methods to suit the learning style of each student I can provide driving lessons that allow you to learn at a pace that works for you. I’m proud of my ability to put my students at ease and ensuring there is a relaxed and comfortable learning environment is of paramount importance.
Over the years I have had great success in transforming even the most nervous learners into fantastic drivers. I also have a lot of experience in teaching students with learning difficulties including dyspraxia, dyslexia and ADHD. There is a lot to take in when learning to drive and some people can find it quite overwhelming. To assist with this I have created a wide range of resources which my students can access in their own time via my website at no extra cost. There are documents which cover everything from what to expect on your first lesson all the way through to how best to prepare for your driving test.
As well as these there are also helpful videos which show and explain many aspects of driving that learners may have trouble with including parallel parking, reversing around corners, traffic lights and crossroads. These resources cover many things that would typically be covered during lessons however by providing these it gives my students the option to learn in their free time. This results in more time focusing on the practical aspects of driving and less time listening to me talking during lessons!

The nearest test centre to Aldershot is located in Farnborough at the Farnborough Driving Test Centre on Aerospace Boulevard. To ensure you are as prepared as possible for your test we can drive previous test routes in Farnborough so that you’re familiar with the area and have an idea of what to expect when you sit your test. Driving Lesson Costs
In order to allow you to experience what I am like as a driving instructor and decide whether you want to learn with me, I offer a discounted rate for the first 2 hours.
As is standard with most driving schools block bookings of 10 hours will receive a discount. However, I believe that it is unfair to punish those who are unable to pay for their lessons in 10-hour blocks which is why each one of my students will be eligible to receive a discounted rate of every 10th hour at half price!
